#sundaysetup: drink swaps

Hey June, slow down. I’m recalculating as we speak. I did not get my entire garden planted and right at this moment decided not to keep it on my list. Done. I’m swapping a home garden for trips to the farmer’s market instead. This is not a bad trade at all, thank you farmers, growers, and makers of Minnesota! Sometimes we just need to swap out something good for something better or more fitting for the season we are in, even when it comes to our favorite things to eat...

#sundaysetup: broccoli salads

What are you making for #sundaysetup this week? I haven’t decided yet but last night made me want more of this: I overheard a certain someone’s request to his personal chef last night at the Paleo Supper Class.  Broccoli, he said. #sundaysetup: ground turkey burgers

I was just thinking about how it feels like stars need to align in order to get healthy and strong. I get the stories that hold us back, I do. Whether it’s life obligations, work, patterns, injuries, money, weather . . .  it can seem like the best time is NE-VER.  [Cue Torque team playlist and song by Muse]  “We will be victorious.” Dear Minnesotans, if ever a season for healthy eating and moving to align, this is our time.  While yes we can get tomatoes and...

#sundaysetup: stuffed bell peppers

Meal preppers, summer lovers, weeknight dinner makers, cyclers, weight lifters, stair climbers (been seeing a lot of you lately), giveaway die hards (hint: giveaway coming), or anybody who eats shall unite over this recipe. Yes, that’s all of you! Tiffany sent me this recipe a couple of weeks ago, and it lead me to a) fill and bake a bell pepper which I’ve never done but seems to be a theme lately and b) to track down this salsa from Double Take Salsa, a local company...
